Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about SAGE University's regular blended degree programs.
About the Programs
What are NewGen Campus Degree programs?
NewGen Campus Degree programs are full-time, on-campus
degree
programs that integrate traditional academic learning with structured industry
exposure. Students attend regular classes, use Smart Classrooms, learn from industry
faculty (50%), participate in Live Projects, and complete assured paid internships
—
all while earning a UGC-recognised degree.
Are these degrees UGC recognised?
Yes. All degrees awarded under the NewGen Campus Degree
model
are fully recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). They carry the same
validity as any on-campus university degree in India.
Which programs are offered?
Currently, three programs are available: B.Tech. (Hons.)
in Computer Science Engineering CSE
(Business Applications), B.Tech. (Hons.) in Computer Science Engineering CSE
(Fintech), and BBA in Digital Business, AI
& Analytics. Each is designed for a specific career pathway.
How is this different from a regular B.Tech or BBA?
The academic foundation is the same, but regular blended
programs go further — with industry-designed curriculum, 50% industry faculty,
IIT-level papers every semester, assured paid internships, Live Projects, and
comprehensive placement support. You get a stronger, more career-focused education.
Admissions
What are the eligibility criteria?
For B.Tech programs: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and
Mathematics. For BBA: 10+2 in any stream. Specific requirements may be updated —
please contact admissions for the latest criteria.
How do I apply?
You can apply online through the university's application
portal. Fill in your details, upload required documents, and our admissions team
will guide you through the rest. You can also contact us for assisted application
support.
Is there an entrance exam?
Admission criteria may vary by program and intake. Please
contact the admissions helpline for the most current entrance requirements.
What is the fee structure?
Please contact our admissions counsellors for detailed
fee information and available scholarship options. You can reach us at 07316878941
or submit an enquiry through the contact page.
Industry Integration & Internships
Are internships guaranteed?
Yes. Paid internships are a structured, assured component
of the program — not optional or self-arranged. Students participate in
internships
during Year 3 and Year 4 (or Year 2 and 3 for BBA).
What kind of companies offer internships?
Internship partners span multiple industries depending on
your program — including IT firms, consulting companies, fintech startups, digital
marketing agencies, banks, and enterprise technology providers.
What does "50% industry faculty" mean?
It means that half of your course instructors are
professionals currently working in the industry or with deep recent industry
experience. They bring real-world context, current practices, and professional
networks into the classroom.
What are IIT papers?
Every semester includes one paper designed and delivered
by IIT faculty. This adds IIT-calibre academic depth to your regular curriculum —
giving you advanced exposure without requiring an IIT admission.
Placements & Career Support
Is placement guaranteed?
SAGE University provides comprehensive placement
assurance — which includes placement preparation (resume building, mock
interviews,
soft skills), industry networking, and dedicated placement drives. While no
university can guarantee a specific salary, the regular blended model significantly
improves employment outcomes.
What kind of roles do graduates get?
Depending on the program, graduates enter roles like
Business Analyst, Software Developer, Fintech Analyst, Digital Marketing Analyst,
Data Analyst, Product Associate, and other industry-specific positions.
Can I do higher studies after this?
Absolutely. The B.Tech. (Hons.) in Computer Science
Engineering and BBA degrees qualify you
for any postgraduate program — MBA, M.Tech, MS abroad, or any competitive exam in
India.
Campus & Student Life
Is hostel accommodation available?
Yes. The campus offers separate hostel facilities for
boys and girls with modern amenities, mess facilities, common rooms, and
round-the-clock security.
What facilities are on campus?
The 75-acre campus includes Smart Classrooms, research
labs, a central library, sports grounds, gymnasium, cafeterias, medical facilities,
and green spaces for recreation.
Are there student clubs and activities?
Yes. Students can participate in technical clubs,
cultural societies, sports teams, hackathons, industry workshops, entrepreneurship
cells, and annual festivals.
